What is Pesach?
The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated in the early spring, from the 15th through the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan. Passover (Pesach) commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. Pesach is observed by avoiding leaven, and highlighted by the Seder meals that include four cups of wine, eating matzah and bitter herbs, and retelling the story of the Exodus
Pesach Times
Sell & Burn Chametz
Fri, 4/11 12:07 PM

This year, with Shabbat falling out on the Eve of Pesach, we sell and burn our Chametz a day early, on Friday. We hold a little Chametz over to eat on Shabbat.

Stop Eating & Nullify Chametz
Shabbat 4/12

We eat the bit of Chametz we held over from the burning, as part of our Shabbat meals by 10:47am. We get rid of the remainder and then make a declaration of nullification by 12:08pm.
