Celebrate Shavuot @ Chabad
Shavuot is not about commemorating an event that occurred over 3,000 yrs ago. Rather every year we receive the Torah anew, and it is real cause to celebrate! Chabad of Bethesda has exciting events & services for the entire family! See what we have planned below...

Women's Wine & Cheese(cake!)Evening
- Wednesday, May 24th 7:30pm
A Jewish Women's Circle of Bethesda event. Enjoy a delicious dairy buffet and learn of to make a easy and sumptuos cheesecake, as well as flower arranging to decorate your home for the Holiday of Shavuot!

8th Annual Midnight Torah Forum
- Tuesday, May 30th at midnight
Participate in the tradition of all-night learning the night prior to receiving the Torah. Join us on Shavuot night for a forum discussion presented by members of the community.
Topic: The 13 Principles of Faith of the Rambam
Light refreshments and gourmet coffee will be served.

Reading of 10 Commandments
- Wednesday, May 31st at 10:00am
The reading of the 10 Commandments is a Biblical mandate for men, women & children! Be There!
Shavuot morning services will begin at 9:00am and the Commandments will be read at 10:00am. This is our heritage, this is our legacy, this is our life!

Kids 10 Flavors Ice Cream Party!

Hey Kids, come hear the 10 Commandments and choose from 10 yummy flavors of ICE CREAM! 
This is the sweetest deal ever! The reading and ice cream party will take place at Chabad of Bethesda.

Yizkor - Remembrance Service
- Thursday, June 1st at around 11:30am
On the second day of Shavuot after Torah reading, we will be remembering the loved ones we have lost with the traditional Yizkor prayer.
