Tzvi Freeman

Rabbi Tzvi Freeman is a man hard to pin down. Involved at an early age in Yoga, Tao and radical politics., he left a career as a classical guitarist and composer to study Talmud and Jewish mysticism for nine years, receiving rabbinical ordination at the Lubavitch Central Yeshiva in New York and completing post-graduate studies at the Rabbinical College of Canada.

A published expert, consultant and lecturer in the field of educational technology, Freeman held posts at the University of British Columbia and Digipen School of Computer Gaming. His award-winning CD ROM, A to Zap was featured as "Hot Pick of the Year" on Good Morning America. In 2001, he was appointed to the educational advisory council of Vivendi Interactive. He is also a past associate editor of Game Developer Magazine—his feature articles from there are available at Gamasutra.com.

Rabbi Freeman is the author of Bringing Heaven Down to Earth, Book I and Book II, collections of meditations based on the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, but in pithy, bite-size doses. Same with the highly popular Daily Dose of Wisdom emailed out to wisdom-addicts every morning by Chabad.org. Another one of his bestselling books, Men, Women & Kabbalah, is a primer for the ideal relationship. Also at Chabad.org, you'll find his KabbalaToons, starring Rabbi Infinity ("Give me one minute and I'll give you cosmic consciousness") and his Heaven Exposed series, a unique genre of Kabbalistic Sci-Fi (also published as a book by Class One Press). More recent is his Jewish Meditation video series, guiding the viewer through simple exercises for meditation in Jewish prayer. His principal role at Chabad.org is director of the Ask The Rabbi service, a team of responding "rabbis that care." You can subscribe to regular updates of Rabbi Freeman's writing with the Freeman Files subscription.

Rabbi Tzvi Freeman is available for speaking engagements on a variety of topics, including a meditation workshop and a classical guitar kumzitz. For more info, contact him here.

Thankyou
I am not Jewish but try to follow Jewish law as a Christian. I have learned more here in a few days then I have learned in church. Because of your wisdom and perspective my family is stronger. I would also like to say on a side note to kosher dietary laws I think a good reason for it might be the health aspect. I lost 20 pounds on it, I feel great! Though I have to confess I do cheat on taco night:(

Chabad.org
I am not Jewish, but I know that our Jewish people are a light unto the world. I think these messages you send out every day are amazing. They are one of the messages that I look for first going through over 30 emails a day.
Sometimes they are so 'deep' that I have to go to 'Ask A Rabbi' just to understand what I've read about 10-15 times.
I love reading these messages every day. I pray you Never Stop posting them!!
Coming to you with love.

Insightful and Lyrical
Dear Rebbe Freeman:

I look forward to your daily dose everyday. I love the way you put a complex thought into a simple to understand way that, not only gives me something to think about, but is also delivered in an almost lyrical way. You are a creative writer and a thorough teacher. Thank-you for adding enjoyment to my mornings.
